Free advice on elastomer sealing technology

Aberdeen O-rings and Seals Ltd is offering a free one-day training course on elastomer technology and seal design for critical sealing applications. Aimed at design, service, technical and quality personnel in the oil and gas industry, the course can be attended on either Wednesday 19 November or Thursday 20 November at the Doubletree Hotel, Aberdeen.

Cost-effective, high performance sealing components are crucial to the optimal performance of sealing systems throughout the oil and gas industry. Advanced sealing design and sophisticated materials selection deliver more robust solutions that bring improved sealing performance, extended service intervals and cost savings. In the one day professional development course, attendees will cover a wide range of subjects including O-ring manufacturing, elastomer chemistry, strengths, weaknesses and specifications, design considerations, diagnosis and identification of sealing problems plus how to achieve cost savings through extended maintenance cycles and informed seal selection. The course will be presented by John Kerwin and Mick Holland, PPE’s Global Products Manager.
